Cooking for love means cooking with friends you care about.   There is nothing like hanging out in the kitchen with your girlfriends!  Whenever I go back home, I try to get a few friends together and create a casual impromptu dinner party.  I have a 100% success rate.

We chop some veggies, I put this rack of lamb on the grill, we bake my popovers, I share my ratatouille recipe because everyone loves eating it, and we laugh about anything while we sip some delicious French Rose wine that Cathy brought over.  What else is there better in life than sharing food and wine with your  friends?  Doing these basic tasks together brings everyone closer and continues to deepen the bonds we all already share.  We all relax and let ourselves go in the kitchen.  The giggles, the funny stories, a little gossip, and good times just flow like the our delicious dinner and blush wine.

I marinated our lamb a few hours during the drive to Nashville. This is how it looked starting on the grill.

Here is the rack of lamb blackening on the grill. I cook it about 13 minutes on each side, then check to see if it is medium rare

Next time you have the chance, invite some friends over, or better yet, get a group organized and go over to one of their houses and cook there.  It’s all in fun, fellowship, and good eats!  Do that and tell me how it goes.
