Our AA-3 Thursday team has been through thick and thin together.  We are one tight knit group!   Many of us are on  other teams together and some of us play regular weekly games.  When you and your teammates have gone head to head against strong opponents week in and week out, over the span of a few years together, you develop strong bonds.  We know we can count on each other  in tough times but, oh, do we love to  celebrate together in the good times!  I think that is our strength.

Helen was so gracious, as she always is, and invited us to have our post season dinner at her fabulous pool house.  Cozy with its wooden rafters and high arched windows, this setting was made even better with our potluck menu, and endless fun conversations.  It was one of those memorable nights that we never wanted to end.

Vickie organized the dates and everyone’s schedules, I organized the food, and Helen got her place ready.  Everyone brought something wonderful.  We had delicious appetizers,  marinated pork tenderloin, delicious green bean and asparagus sides,  fresh summer salad, fruit, popovers, and two amazing deserts; one a raspberry tart and the other a sinful cake.  Oh, and of course,  many brought  wine.

We celebrated our incredible captains, Joann and Jacqueline,  who did an outstanding job guiding us through some turbulent waters at times.  Nothing says celebration like good friends, good wine, and great homemade food.   I have a feeling we will be doing this again very soon.
