Cooking for Love is a little known concept. When we hear the word cooking, we envision slaving away over hot stove, running to stores, searching frantically for recipes, all the while paralyzed with fear and dread.
Cooking for Love takes the focus away from one person making the perfect dish, and instead involves one or more people taking a role towards building a great meal as a community. It is not about isolation in the kitchen, pressure to perform to impress, or prove oneself. It is a collaborative effort that concentrates on relationships and how to use cooking as a backdrop for greater intimacy to create, build, manage, or heal relationships. And have some fun along the way.
Cooking is a missed avenue for exploring intimacy in relationships and within oneself. Yes, within oneself; after all, you have to take care of yourself before you can take care of others. You have to eat, right?
How do you see yourself cooking for your relationships? Do you have a cooking story or opinion you would like to share?
