It was a Moveable Feast….to quote Ernest Hemingway…..”When you have two people who love each other, are happy, and really good work is being done by both of them, people are drawn to them as surely as migrating birds are drawn at night to a powerful beacon.”
Yes, Saturday night at Vinyl in midtown, we drew 175 of Paul’s friends like magnets to the dance floor as our band played two sets. They cheered, clapped, and roared after each song. They feed off our energy, our music, and our food at the buffet table! They were ravenous and stir crazy after being shut in for a week of snow and ice. We had so much fun entertaining, feeding, and playing for our friends.
The best thing about entertaining friends is giving them what they want. It’s so fun seeing them happy, having a great time. We served lots of savory pick up foods and savory sweets with balloons everywhere. Paul and our band, Tele-Ken-etiks, had them on their feet dancing, from 8:30 till 11. We did take a
break in between so we could visit our guests some more. We may have to make Paul’s birthday an annual party! It’s too much fun entertaining. And next time we are getting a photographer!
